STRATEGY
A comprehensive communications plan encompasses both earned and owned platforms, and my background includes experience in both placing and preventing stories. Every company needs to think about their external presence, and early endorsers (media, influencers, peers) matter much to growth and brand-building. You won’t regret baking it in to your long-term planning.
I am able to help identify priority audiences, and provide a strategy for reaching them. Crisis comms, company announcements, and product roll-outs can all be managed as self-contained projects as well.
Executive Communications
Panels, interviews, television, prepared remarks and speeches can be intimidating. Great leaders are not always great at media! Having a third party (me) coach your CEO can relieve some of the stress an in-house comms person (you) often encounters in this part of the job. When I think about why I’m good at this kind of work, I think back to a phrase I once saw embroidered on a security guard’s jacket at a red carpet event: Polite, but firm. That’s my approach!
POSITIONING + MESSAGING
Explaining your company/ product/ news to an external audience requires a different lens. I can help leaders break free from their internal bubble and clearly articulate their value proposition to a wider audience. Establishing key messages will help shape the way you talk about your company and provide guidance for employees, investors, and brand advocates.
